Module custom immersed is usually dead end semi-housed module used for sampling or gassing/degassing applications. 

These modules are designed for continous MBR sludge sampling, where for chemical analysis all non disolved particles has to be removed. Active membrane surface is calculated acording to analysis device needs. 

For continous gassing/aeration, module is fitted in the flow. Small venturi effect will create slight suction, air/gas is sucked trough the membrane in form of small bubbles.
